Knighthawks announce schedule for 2026/2027 season

The Rochester Knighthawks released their 2026/2027 schedule on Tuesday in anticipation of the team's seventh season in its current iteration.

Their regular season will begin at home, as they host the Halifax Thunderbirds on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 7 pm. at the Blue Cross Arena. The Knighthawks last opened their season at home in 2025, when they defeated the Las Vegas Desert Dogs 14-12.

The Knighthawks then have the next two weeks off before they take the floor once again against the aforementioned Desert Dogs. That game will be in Las Vegas, on Friday, Dec. 18, slated for a 10:30 pm start.

The next matchup for the Knighthawks will take place in 2027, as they host the Vancouver Warriors for a rare Sunday evening contest on Jan. 3, at 5 pm.

Rochester's only multi-game road trip will take place the following two Saturdays, as they head to Denver to take on the Colorado Mammoth and then the Saskatchewan Rush the following week.

In an odd scheduling twist, the Knighthawks will go back and forth between home and away for their final 14 matches of the season. The beginning of the 14-game slate will take place in late January, as Rochester will take on the Oshawa Firewolves at home on Saturday, Jan. 30, then travel to Ontario to take on the Firewolves the following weekend.

After their "home and home" series with the Firewolves, the Knighthawks will head into their final bye week of the season the following weekend, which will then be followed by 11 straight weeks of lacrosse for the Knighthawks.

The only back-to-back for the Knighthawks will be on February 20 and 21, as they take on the Toronto Rock. Rochester will host the first game, then both teams will travel to Hamilton, ON, for a Sunday matinee matchup the following day.

On the following two Saturdays, the Knighthawks will face teams that they will only play once, those being against the San Diego Seals at home, and then the Calgary Roughnecks the following weekend.

The first of two matchups against the Georgia Swarm will be on Saturday, Mar. 13, at the BCA, slated to be the only Saturday afternoon start for the Knighthawks, as that match is scheduled to begin at 5 pm.

Halifax will once again enter the picture for the Knighthawks, as Rochester will travel to take on the Thunderbirds on March 19, for their final Friday contest of the season.

March concludes for the Knighthawks with a matchup against the Desert Dogs at home. The month of April begins with a trip west down I-90 as Rochester takes on their archrival, the Buffalo Bandits, at KeyBank Center. The Knighthawks will play host to the Bandits the following weekend for what is expected to be a crucial "home and home" series for both teams.

The regular season concludes with two evening contests, the first of which takes place in Duluth on Saturday, April 17, when the Knighthawks face the Swarm. The final game of the season for Rochester will be at home for the sixth consecutive season as they host the Mammoth on Saturday, April 24, at 7 pm.

Under a new coaching staff and a new look on defense, the Knighthawks are looking to rebound from their 6-12 record the season prior to reach the playoffs for the fourth time in franchise history.
