Brockport and Albertus Magnus kicked off their second game of the weekend after Brockport fell 4-1 to Albertus last night. A much closer game tonight that went down to the wire, but the Golden Eagles didn't have enough as they fell 3-2.

"Better effort, just you got to play every single shift," Brockport head coach Brian Dickinson said. "Offensively we had some great looks, I think we are a little better team then they are but what they do is compete hard to the whistle and then some, they were able to get one more then us tonight."

In net for the Golden Eagles for game two stood Dax Easter. Easter held career highs in save percentage at .919% and goals against average at just 2.67. For the Falcons they turned to Chace Hale who has been the usual starter. He has missed the last few games after being pulled against Manhattanville after allowing four straight, but he looked to get back on the horse against Brockport.

For the Golden Eagles tonight Kaleb Miller scored his second goal in two games as well as Manny Sanchez picking up a goal as well. Brody Seitz, Nick Reif, Dominic Chirico and Matthew Lee all picked up an assist. As for the Falcons their goals came from Kyle Dann, Sam Lozinski and Linas Dedinas. As for the helpers Zane Kindrachuk, Connor Bertamini, Bailey Kirwin, Peter Keese and Cayden Pattison all had an assist. Hale saved 28 of 30 shots which was good for a .933 save percentage where as Easter saw 39 shots making 36 saves.

Miller and Seitz would pick up right where they left off yesterday. After the seventh minute passed, Seitz established possession to the right of Hale. A surging Miller stopped right in front for the pass, jamming it through the pads giving the Golden Eagles another early lead.

"He competes with anybody else on the ice," Dickinson said. "He's a real warrior."

Albertus responded a few minutes later. Albertus was firing shots and able to get Easter off center. Lozinski went undetected and had a wide open net, a one-timer would tie things up at one a piece.

Scoring would cease until about five minutes remained in the second period. An ineffective clear allowed Dann to make his way to the right side of Easter on a 2-on-1. Dann kept it and went five-hole giving Albertus Magnus a 2-1 lead heading into the third period.

Albertus would only need two and a half minutes to add to their lead. Dedinas chased a puck down into the Brockport zone. Using his breakaway speed he split both defenseman going one-on-one with Easter. Easter bit on it early, allowing Dedinas to hold it patiently and bury it giving the Falcons a commanding 3-1 lead.

Brockport fought back responding a few minutes later. Nick Reif found a pass from Lee all alone on the left side of Hale. He waited for Sanchez who crawled his way to the opposite side, Reif found him and Sanchez cut the lead to 3-2.

It wouldn't be enough however, as Albertus Magnus killed off the empty net situation winning 3-2.

"We hopefully can learn from this weekend on the expectation of what our opponent will be and the pace thats needed to play," Dickinson said. "I love this team, we got great goaltending and when the power play gets back to where we were then that puts in a good situation to be successful."

SUNY Brockport falls to 9-12 on the season remaining in sixth place in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) as they look ahead to a home game on Friday night hosting the Nazareth Golden Flyers. As for Albertus Magnus they now improve to 13-8 which is fourth in the UCHC as they look ahead to take on the Hiram Terriers next week.
