Friday night will bring another night of sub-zero wind chills. Feel-like temperatures will stay between -1° and -5° with air temperatures around 10° overnight. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for counties along the south shore of Lake Ontario, from Orleans to Oswego County until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. This is for a lake effect snow band along Lake Ontario that will ride along the southern shoreline of Lake Ontario and move further south well into the Rochester metro area overnight. The heaviest snow will fall overnight Friday into Saturday morning. Arctic temperatures will support "fluffy", fast-accumulating snow. This lake band is expected to weaken but will linger over the region before dissipating mid-day Sunday. Brockport can expect between 3-6 inches by Sunday morning, while Rochester will see lesser amounts around 1-3 inches. Folks along and north of 104 may see 6+ inches of snow as this is where the most persistent snow will be positioned.
