Lyndonville grabs early lead, doesn't look back in 70-53 win over Byron-Bergen



LYNDONVILLE, N.Y. ---The Lyndonville Tigers defeated the Byron-Bergen Bees by a final score of 70-53 on Friday night from the John Hayes Gymnasium.


The first quarter was all Lyndonville, as Russell Stephens scored eight points to give Lyndonville a 21-7 lead. However, the Bees battled back in the second as Jerrod Amesbury had seven points and Nicholas Baubie chipped in six points to cut the deficit to 35-29 at halftime.




But Lyndonville took control in the second half as senior Nathan Dillenbeck had 14 of his game-high 23 points to give the Tigers the victory.


With the win, the Tigers improve to 3-2 on the season while the Bees drop to 3-2 also.
