GENESEO, N.Y. --- The Brockport Golden Eagles women's lacrosse team's 2026 season came to a screching halt in the Empire 8 semi-final. Brockport fell 15-to-8 against # 2 seed Geneseo on the road. The Knights scored 12 goals in the first half to pull away early and book a trip the Empire 8 championship game.

Junior Hailey Lewkovich produced a hat trick which brought her season goal total to 53. Senior Amanda Evans also had three goals in what was the captain's final game in the green and gold. Fellow senior and captain Journey Naab filled the stat sheet on the defensive end, with four caused turnovers and four ground balls.
Geneseo's offense was too much for Brockport to handle in the first half. Geneseo went into the break with a 12-to-3 advantage. Brockport's second half performance was much cleaner across the board, which led them to outscore Geneseo 5-to-3 in the third and fourth quarters.
The final score suggests this game would've been closer. Brockport faught hard but the deciding factor came from the draw control X. Geneseo dominated the draw 18 to seven. Those extra possessions, specifically in the first half led to Geneseo's huge offensive output.
Geneseo Sophomore Rosemary Mahoney led the way offensively with a five goal day. Juniors Lila Warner and Grace Reyna followed close behind with four and three goals respectively. Sophomore goaltender Teagan Culhane put on a show in cage. She robbed multiple high quality looks from Brockport in the first half and finished with 10 saves and just eight goals allowed.
The Golden Eagles season ends in a conference tournament semi-final game for the fourth straight year to start head coach Bryana Glasser's time at Brockport.
