Brockport, N.Y. --- The #20 Brockport Golden Eagle's defeated the #16 Geneseo Knights on Wednesday in Brockport. The game started off slow but after about 10 minutes play started to pick up for Brockport as they seemed to capitalize on every opportunity they had. Heather Conklin had 7 goals, 1 assist, and 5 draw controls to help lead her team to victory. But however impressive that stat line is it paled in comparison to the way Morgan Elmer played in goal for Brockport, she had 17 saves on the day tying her career high.
After Brockport took the lead Geneseo just couldn't keep up as Brockport just seemed to make goal after goal. at the end of the first half the score was Brockport 9 Geneseo 5.
In the second half Brockport was just as dominant although Geneseo had plenty of opportunities. The Brockport defense did an incredible job of keeping Geneseo out of the goal.
With this victory Brockport take the lead of the SUNYAC west division and will likely move up in the national rankings.
