First basemen Patrick Bigham got things going for Brockport in the bottom of the second inning after he hit a solo homerun over the left field fence. Later in the inning designated hitter Brian Tietgen smacked a single to right field that drove in second basemen Nick Mahar to make it a 2-0 game.

In the top of the fourth inning the Vikings got a run after first basemen Zach Leslie singled and drove in outfielder Jeremey Peddle. This would be the only run the Vikings would score in the game.

In the top of the fifth inning, after a double by outfielder Nick Pastore, outfielder Zach Eldred hit a screaming ground ball that was misplayed by the second baseman and allowed Pastore to score from second. Later in the inning, Eldred scored after stealing home due to the catcher throwing to second base to try and catch Nick Mahar stealing second. This made it 4-1 Brockport.
