Buffalo Bisons blank the Red Sox in 4-0 Win

The Buffalo Bisons hosted the Worchester Red Sox Saturday night at Sahlen Field in Buffalo. After a walk-off grand slam last night, the Bisons looked to get another home win and continue their momentum.


The offense got going early for Buffalo with multiple walks and a base hit thru 2 innings. But the 3rd saw them finally get on the board. The inning was led off by a Tanner Morris double off the center field wall.

With 1 out a shot to the left center gap gave an RBI double to Jordan Luplow and put the Bisons on the board.

Following after it was Luis De Los Santos going to deep center for a 2 run home run. It was his 2nd home run in as many days after he hit the walk-off grand slam Friday Night in the 10th.


On the pitching side it was Wes Parsons 4th start of the season for Buffalo was a gem with six shutout innings pitched alongside 9 strikeouts. He lowered his ERA to 4.42 with his first quality start of the season. Parsons signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays in May after spending two seasons as a starter in the KBO.


Woo Sox starter Rio Gomez was pulled from the mound in the 4th and ended his day with 3.2 IP and 3 ER. Theo Denlinger cleaned things up in relief but ran into trouble in the 6th.

The inning saw a leadoff single and steal for Cam Eden as the Bisons then went to 2 outs with Eden on third. Denlinger could not get out of the inning as he walked three straight including a bases loaded walk given to Luplow for his 2nd RBI and making it 4-0 Bisons.


That would be the final score of the game as the Bisons bullpen held things down from then on with Cam Booser and Andres Nunez finishing the innings in relief. The Buffalo Bisons win game 4 of the 6 home series against the Red Sox and even the win totals at 2-2.


Buffalo and Worchester will play game 5 on Sunday afternoon with first pitch set for 1:05pm. The Bisons now sit a 36-44 record on the season with Worchester falling to 41-38.
