BROCKPORT, N.Y. --- The Brockport Golden Eagles men's basketball team looked to add another win on Saturday night after a win against the Potsdam Bears last night. They were looking to win their 12th win in the SUNYAC conference.

The game was close the entire game with Brockport being in danger of losing their third conference game from this season. The Golden Eagles struggled significantly shooting only 10-30 from the field and did not make a single three pointer at all. Sophomore guard who is the second leading scorer in SUNYAC, Mekhi Beckett, struggled mightily scoring only 2 points with no field goals made.

The final score was 67-66.

Sophomore guard Tony Arnold led Brockport with scoring with 24 points shooting 10-18 from the field and made the game winning layup with 14 seconds remaining of the game. Senior forward David Grady III recorded a double-double with 11 points along with 12 rebounds including great defense.

For the Cardinals, sophomore guard Kevin Tabb led in scoring with 16, but only shot 5-17 from the field. Senior forward Erik Salo and sophomore guard Franklin Infante combined for 24 points.

"I would say it all started on the defensive end, without the defense we could not get those buckets. Down five with short amount of time left, coach told us "If we get enough stops, there's enough time for us to make something happen,"" said Tony Arnold after the game.

The Brockport Golden Eagles improve to 12-2 in the SUNYAC conference and 17-4 overall. They will travel to Oneonta and New Paltz next weekend to face the Oneonta Red Dragons and the New Paltz Hawks. Tipoff for Oneonta is at 7:30 while it will be 4:00 for the New Paltz game.
