11/30 - GEF Round 2 Review

The Brockport Golden Eagles were eliminated from the NCAA Division III Football Tournament as they were shutout to the #4 ranked Muhlenberg Mules 42-0. The loss ends the season for Brockport at 9-3, failing to get past the second round for the second straight year.


Both sides of the ball didn't have that much success. On the defense, Lawrence Jenkins led the team with eight tackles, including one tackle for a loss. Senior Alex West had three tackles, with 1.5 TFLs, finishing his career as a Golden Eagle with 192 total tackles and 25.5 sacks.


As for the offense, Freddy June only completed six passes for 67 yards, while running back Jala Coad had 18 carries for 66 yards. Joseph Ortiz made two receptions for Brockport, graduating as the all-time leader in career receptions with 238.


Muhlenberg will now advance to the quarterfinals and travel to Maryland to face the Salisbury Seagulls.
