WBSU HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2026 ANNOUNCED

WBSU at SUNY Brockport is proud to announce the slate of inductees as the Class of 2026 into the WBSU Hall of Fame: 

Paul Heine—Class of ’75. A 39-year career in industry trade magazines. Senior and Managing Editor of industry trade magazine Inside Radio from 2009 to 2024. Previously with Billboard Magazine, Radio & Records and FMQB. 

Ed Ryan—Class of ’88. Longtime Editor in Chief of industry trade magazine Radio Ink. Co-host of Beach Talk Radio in Ft. Myers Florida since 2018 and beachtalkradionews.com. 

Jason Wentworth--Class of ’98 Program Director/Morning Show Host at KCOW/KAAQ/KQSK Radio in Alliance, NE for 26 years. Multiple Nebraska State Broadcasting awards 

Lloyd Trufelman—Held Executive positions at WNYC Public Radio, the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau, MTV Networks and was President of Trylon SMR, a NYC-based media industry marketing communications firm. Chair of FM Task Force as a student. 

Wendy (DeSimone) Price---Class of ’93. Almost 9 years as Director of Sales at Press Communications LLC in New Jersey. Was named one of Radio Ink Magazine’s “Best Managers in Radio” for 2022. 13 years as Manager of Live Events & Non-Traditional Revenue for Townsquare media and Millennium Radio Group. 

Dean King—Chief Engineer for 30+ years. Oversaw 4 studio upgrades and Nautel transmitter installation in Sept. 2024 among other projects.

Induction ceremonies will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 5 p.m. in the New York Room in Cooper Hall on campus. Tickets will be available soon.
