In the age of pop EDM and hip-hop becoming the expected releases, it is nice to hear these stripped back alternative songs thrown into the mix. Pandas & People do exactly this on their new song “Bad Honey.” The way that this song differs from others is how casual and enjoyable it is to listen to. The simple instrumentation with the easy to catch onto lyrics make it a staple for summer campfires, the imagery I specifically see for this song is a long car ride with friends. This does not get drowned out by what the song is trying to convey about loving someone undeniably but not knowing whether to continue forward in the relationship. Overall, I think this song is one that will be the underdog of people’s playlists but will be appreciated by most. A must listen.
