RIT Men's Hockey Falls 3-1 to Robert Morris

Updated: Jan 6

The RIT Men's Ice Hockey team struggled to gain traction Saturday evening, losing to the Robert Morris Colonials 3-1 in Moon Township, Pennsylvania.

The Tigers fell behind early until Jake Joffe netted his fifth of the season midway through the second period to tie the game at one. But the Colonials fired back with their go-ahead goal with 10 minutes to go and tacked on an empty netter to seal the victory with 28 seconds left.

Despite the loss, there was history made as Goalie Logan Drackett broke the program's career saves mark previously held by 2017 graduate Mike Rotolo (2,335).

With the loss, the Tigers are now 4-3-2 on the season and are back in action against the Colonials on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. This stretch does not get easier for RIT, as they have three games in five games against Canisius next week as well.
