ROCHESTER, NY - The Rochester Red Wings 5 game winning streak was snapped on Saturday night against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

owski groundout. The IronPigs would respond in the third as a bases loaded walk to Dustin Peterson allowed a run in to tie the game. First Basemen John Nogowski responded with 2 more RBIs in bottom half of the third as his 15th double of the season gave the Red Wings a 3-1 lead

Red Wings Starting Pitcher Logan Verrett would shut things down on the mound for Rochester. A quality seven innings pitched with 1 earned run and 6 hits given up. In the top of the 8th it was lefty pitcher Luis Avilan who came in to relieve him. DH Josh Ockimey took advantage of the new pitcher sending one past the wall in right field for a game tying 2 run home run. Afterwards right hander Juan Minaya took over but gave the Ironpigs the lead off a solo shot from the bat of catcher Rafael Marchan.

The Ironpigs would hold onto this lead for the rest of the game. As reliever Nick Duron would get his sixth save of the season and reliever Jonathan Hennigan would earn a win for pitching a scoreless seventh inning.
