Music Minute: Big Moves for Gigi Perez and Noah Kahan
By: Abigail Sharick

News about the newest film in "The Hunger Games" franchise, "Sunrise on the Reaping," just keeps coming. On Oct. 30, singer-songwriter Gigi Perez released her new song, “Favor,” for the movie's soundtrack. Over the past few years, Perez has gained popularity, especially with the success of her song “Sailor Song,” which peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100. She started her music career in 2018, but rapidly rose to fame when she began posting on TikTok in 2020. She went mainstream in 2024, when “Sailor Song” went viral, and has since continued to build her career in the music industry.
Previously, Gigi Perez supported and opened for several major artists, including Noah Kahan, who just announced his "The Last of The Bugs World Tour" which will visit stadiums across North America and Europe in 2027. Fans are already anticipating a Ticketmaster war for tickets to see him at Highmark Stadium in June.
The "Sunrise on the Reaping" soundtrack will be released on Nov. 13, and sign-ups for presale access to Noah Kahan tickets are open until the end of the day Nov. 5.
