HILTON, N.Y. - Lebeau Field home of the (0-2) Hilton Cadets was absolutely rocking Friday night for their annual homecoming game, this year against the (0-2) Greece Olympia/Odyssey Griffins. On the back of Tyler Reger, who scored four touchdowns for the Cadets, Hilton steamrolled the Griffins en route to a 56-14 win.

"It's definitely awesome, I love homecoming cause everyone in the town comes and watches us play," Hilton halfback Tyler Reger said. "It's definitely awesome having a great game in front of our home crowd."

Reger locked up four total touchdowns in just the first half of the game, scoring two receiving, one rushing and returning a punt back for a touchdown. Calvin Starwald had a nine-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter. Then in the second half Cooper Streb, Robert Russo and Kyle Taddeo added a touchdown a piece to end the scoring for the Cadets. Defensively, Starwald and defensive lineman Chayse Martell each notched a sack. For the Griffins, Jaylen Spinks and Marlon Tillman logged the only touchdowns.

"We started fresh tonight," Hilton head coach Rich Lipani said. "We had a rough start, now we are starting fresh and we are going to be getting on a roll here I hope."

The Cadets struck first tonight. Reger took a stretch run to the left side and after making a few guys miss was able to walk into the endzone for the first touchdown. However, after a missed extra point attempt from Reger, the score was 6-0.

After a Greece three and out, the Cadets responded instantly. Hilton quarterback Matt Kosiorek faked a screen pass to his left side, then went to his right side where Reger was sitting with blockers in front. Using his breakaway speed, he housed the screen pass for a 46-yard touchdown.

The Cadets followed that up with a fake PAT attempt where Kosiorek was able to find Starwald in the end zone for a two-point conversion, making it 14-0.

The Hilton defense was able to force a turnover on downs after a failed fourth down attempt. Hilton would respond with a Kosiorek fade ball to the back of the endzone finding Reger for his third touchdown of the game. After another three and out from Greece, Starwald would rush in for a nine yard touchdown to make it 28-0 with seven minutes remaining in the first half.

With a minute left, Reger would score his fourth touchdown of the half by returning a punt 44 yards for a touchdown. With this touchdown, it tied the record for most touchdowns in a half by a Cadet which was set back in 2009 by Duell Smith.

"Great player, had a great night and we are expecting big things from him." Lipani said.

After falling 35-0 in the first half, the Griffins responded. Quarterback Juliun Carter out of a play-action bootleg found his back Spinks on a post corner to the endzone. Spinks beat the zone coverage to make it a 35-7 ball game.

Hilton marched right back however. Kosiorek would find his senior tight end Streb on an out route for a wide open six yard touchdown pass to make the lead 35 once again.

The Griffins responded once again though. Tillman took a pitch to the right side and with some blockers out in front dove into the endzone to once again cut the deficit to 35.

The Cadet defense was able to hold the Griffins for the remainder of the second half. Russo had a seven yard rush to put the Cadets up 49-14. Taddeo would put the game away late in the fourth quarter with a 12 yard rush, ending the game 56-14.

"We even got some backups and other players in and they fought all night," Reger said. "It's a fresh start for us, we gotta go to Spencerport for their homecoming, so we gotta prepare well for that."

For the Greece Griffins, they fall to 0-3 and will host the Victor Blue Devils on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. As for the Hilton Cadets, they are 1-2 and head on over to Spencerport for the Rangers homecoming on Saturday at 2 p.m.
