BROCKPORT, N.Y. --- The Brockport Golden Eagles women's lacrosse team defeated the Fredonia Blue Devils in an absolute landslide, winning 20-1. The first goal came within the first minute of the game and it was scored by none other than graduate student Heather Conklin. However this goal was much more than the opening goal, it was Conklin's 185th career goal as a Golden Eagle and was also the new program record for career goals. She went on to add another 3 goals to that tally putting her at 188 goals in her career so far.

She obviously didn't carry all the weight for the team though, Cassidy Burnash netted 5 goals and was a dominant force on offense throughout the second half. Throughout the game, the dynamic duo of Allison Jennings and Natalie Strough looked almost like puppeteers on the offensive side of the ball.

Fredonia's only goal in the game came during the first half at the 20-minute mark by Makayla Farino but they barely sniffed the goal after that. the Brockport team was so dominant throughout that goalie Morgan Elmer only had 4 saves throughout and when backup Erin Lant came in she didn't even have to save the ball once.

In the last 10 minutes of the game, things got a bit chippy with 3 penalties coming right after one another, 2 for Fredonia, and 1 for Brockport. But even with that Brockport kept Fredonia out of the goal in the second half and took home the win. They will play against Geneseo on Wednesday this week at 4pm in Brockport.
