Just 4:57 in to the second period, Connor Galloway notched his first of the season to make it 3-0. Assisted by teammates Andrew Harley and Chase Maxwell as the top line for Brockport saw success throughout.

Ending the second period up 4 to 1, the Golden Eagles added two goals in quick succession to start the third. Anthony Hora scored at 3:07 into the third, with Andrew Harley just 43 seconds scoring his first of the season. The Golden Eagles finished their home opener on a 6 to 1 win with Nolan Eggbert making a total of 40 saves and getting a win in net.

It was physical battle throughout with no team giving any goals thru the first two periods of the game. Both teams gave no room to breathe as aggressive forechecking and battles along the boards happened throughout.

Another key factor in the game were penalty problems on both sides. Neumann racked up six penalties on the night while Brockport was sent to the box eight times. These problems showed themselves in a big way heading into the third

Connor Galloway took a cross checking penalty just four minutes into the third. The Knights would take advantage scoring their first of the game slipping one past goaltender Aidan Curry. The Golden Eagles quickly took back control of the game as an onslaught of offense soon followed. It was Anthony Hora again tying the game up just 10 minutes into the period.

Jacob Rodrigue at 17:58 into the third period took a roughing penalty and Neumann scored on the power play making the final goal for the 2-1 game. Brockport pulled their goaltender Curry and made a run to tie it up, but ultimately fell short.

The Golden Eagles now sit at a 1 and 1 record through two games and will have to regroup throughout the week. They will come back next Saturday on the road for a matchup against Morrisville State at 4pm.
