2018:

Bernard Lynch - Former Chief Engineer who helped design the station's current facility in the Seymour Union and oversaw the transition to FM in 1981. He led the Production II studio design & expansion in 1995. And, he was a totable member of the FM Task Force.

 

David Van Wie - The station's first FM General Manager from 1981-1983. He oversaw the launch of the FM station in January ’81 including the logo design, format, studio build, transmitter installation and community relations.

He was the Sales Manager for two years at WADR in Utica/Rome. He was a graduate of Ithaca College in 1978.

 

Michael Doyle '80 - Currently managing 14 markets as Regional President/President of Sales Operations at Entercom. He is the GM for Pilot Communications & Sales Manager for Cox Radio. He was also the Former News Director, Sportscaster & DJ at 89.1 The Point and the BSG President from 1979-80.

 

Scott Fishman '79 - Senior Vice President and Executive Producer at Spike TV/Paramount Network. He's the VP, General Manager, Nickelodeon Studios Florida; he co-created “Guts." He began his career at MTV in 1981 as a Production Assistant and from 1983-1990 served as Director for various MTV programs including “Remote Control,” “MTV Spring Break” and “Yo! MTV Raps." He was the AM General Manager 1978 & member of FM Task Force at 89.1 The Point.

 

Ron Reger '71 - early station manager as a student and former Vice President and Radio G.M. of WTAR/WLTY in Norfolk, VA. His professional career took him to Rochester, Buffalo, Indianapolis, Norfolk/Virginia Beach and Pittsburgh. He spent nearly a decade as P.D./Operations Manager and co-host of the top-rated morning show “Reger & The Bull” at WNOR in Norfolk. He was the early station Program Director and Student Manager including transition of studios from Lathrop to Seymour for 89.1 The Point.

 

Stacey Fitch '85 - Vice President, ESPN Production Operations since 2015. She was the Senior coordinating director at ESPN from 2011-15. The was the Senior director, production operations (2008 – 2011), she led the operations team responsible for launching Digital Center 1, SportsCenter and NFL in HD. She won the “Technical Team Studio” Emmy award for “This is SportsCenter” and the NFL Draft in 2003 and 2005. She was the Program Director and a DJ at WBSU.

 

Tiffanie Wong '95 - Operations Supervisor (2015-present) & Technical Director (2014-15) at CNN, NYC. She was the Associate Director of the Golf Channel 2013-14 and Technical Director for the Orlando Magic (2012-14). She also worked for WNYW-TV in New York and WHDH-TV in Boston as well as being the Associate Director at ESPN. She was the FM Program Director and a DJ at WBSU.

 

Ryan Nobles '98 - A reporter for CNN since 2014 for their affiliate service Newsource during the 2016 Presidential Campaign. He was named Washington Correspondent for CNN U.S. in 2017 where he reports on politics, Capitol Hill and the White House. He began his career with WUHF and WHAM in Rochester, WKTV in Utica, WTEN in Albany and WWBT in Richmond, VA. The News Director, Sports Director, Operations Manager and did three seasons as the PBP voice for Golden Eagle Football and Hockey. He was part of small group planning and implementing brand change to 89.1 The Point in 1998.
