Amanda Berg I think I'm obsessed with "God is a Woman." Ariana Grande has been all over the internet lately with her quick engagement to Pete Davidson, and this song has only boosted her fifteen minutes of fame. It has sultry, relatable lyrics and a slow jam groove to it. There hasn't been one "summer bop" yet- but with the way Ariana broke the internet with this music video, she has definitely come close. This one is catchy and makes you want to get engaged to a stranger like she did. Definitely a well deserved 5/5 stars. Mike Wilson Drake, “Emotionless” - Going deeper into the Scorpion album, Drake keeps juicing the charts with tracks from this album. All the hallmarks of a pop rap track,

Mike Wilson St. Paul & The Broken Bones, “Apollo” – Here we go. St. Paul & The Broken Bones bring us “Apollo” a track about being young and youths trials. This track has a heavy pop dance feel an interesting turn from their usual classic horns influenced blues rock. This track is so different from these guys usual stuff me feel like it’s a different group all together. These guys have some real talent and some real range and I would give them a listen. From dance, pop rock to classic blues and jazz, St. Paul & The Broken Bones are the real deal. 4/5 stars Nikki Minja featuring Ariani Grande, “Bed” – A lot of what you’d expect from, a seductive sexy track from the Queen of naughty pop. Gotta Let Go- Hollywood Underground - Hollywood Underground’s “Gotta Let Go” shows the listener right away how it can take an anthem style song, and make it extremely unique. The intro in this song features an acoustic guitar with a unique violin esque sound that portrays the rhythm of the song’s chorus. Speaking of the chorus, I loved how they took the simple repetition of “Gotta Let Go” and made it catchier than hell. When the song transitions into rap, I feel like it loses some of its unique characteristics with the use of lazy lyrics. That being said I think it plays in well with the theme of letting go. 4 out of 5 stars. Hi Hello- Johnny Marr- How fun is Johnny Marr’s “Hi Hello”?! This

The under enthusiastic carnival game tenants, the rides I’ve rode dozens of times. The once frightening roller coasters and me Mike Wilson here this gray and overcast afternoon waiting for Dave Matthews. I came early. Way too early. The afternoon calm has come to a place bordering on, well boredom. Arriving this morning the clouds were ahead of schedule, I waited a brief five minutes before being allowed to enter the coral that is Darien Lake. The wait, the anticipation, what it’s all about. A security guard let me and some others through and the excitement

Matt Rosen “The Kids are Alt-Right”-Bad Religion: This creative mix of grunge and alternative pop, creates a sound reminiscent of the anti-protest songs of the Cold War. Although, the lyrics may not resinate with us until decades from now, “The Kids are Alt-Right” absolutely sends a message. With a far more upbeat tone than Passengers “A Kindly Reminder,” “The Kids are Alt-Right” attempts to spread it’s message to a less subtle crowd; and does so successfully. In addition to it’s message, the song brings with it an alternative sound that has been long since missing from this generations rock music. The catchy sound coupled with he compelling music earns this ballad a 4/5 stars. Wilson Jonas
