★★★★★ The father of punk is back at it again. Iggy has been making music for nearly fifty years and yet, as proved by this album, he can still create fresh and creative new music. Post Pop Depression is album number seventeen. This album is soulful edgy and downright gritty. The album is reminiscent of David Bowie, it has been described as a muscular release. Iggy is joined by members of Queens of the Stone Age and the drummer of the Arctic Monkeys The title of the album is interesting it could mean post pop as in after the music genre, or it could be alluding to the era that will follow after Iggy dies.
