Outside Wall
Outside of our radio station in the Seymour Union is our logo, blown up on the wall, so you can easily identify our station when you come to visit or pick up your prizes. |
General Manager's Office
This is where you will find our General Manager, Warren Kozireski, busy at work every weekday. |
Operation Manager's Office
This office belongs to the Operation ManagerJames Anderson, who oversees the whole radio station and reports to the General Manager. |
FM Director's Office
This office belongs to Aaron LaFaro, FM Director, who is in charge of all of our DJ's and many other tasks. |
News Room
When our News Department isn't out covering stories or interviewing a politican, they sit in the News Room to research and write news. |
Website & Public Relations Desk
On the left you'll find the Website Department's desk. This is of course where we keep this site updated and maintained. On the right you'll find the Public Relations Desk. This is where the PR Department is busily planning events to come to to meet listeners like you and they also get cool prizes together to give away. |
News & Sports Desk
On the left you'll find the Sports Department's Desk. After covering games, this is where the Sports Department writes sports reports. On the right you'll find our New Department's Desk. Besides the News Room, this is of course another place to write news stories. |
Production Room #2
This production room is often used by the DJ's, the News Department, and the Sports Department to edit and create audio files. |
Production Room #1
This production room is mostly used by the Production Department which is where all of the promos you hear on air are made. |
Production Booth
Seeing how there is only one microphone in Production Room #1 and #2, this production booth is put into use when more than one microphone is needed to create a promo, record an interview, or what have you. |
Circuit Booth
Before our DJ's can be on air, we put them to the test. This is where new DJ's will sit and tape two-hours worth of talking and playing music. Our Circuit Director Kara Aird has the job of listening to their tape and once they pass some tests and sound FM worthy, they are promoted to FM. |
Music Room
This room is where we keep our collection of compact discs. Each disc was given to us by a record label and our Music Department listens to each track and chooses which ones sound qualified to be on FM. The Music Department also writes album reviews, which you can read by clicking here. |
DJ Booth
When you listen to the radio, this is where the DJ sits or stands, moving all those sliders on the board and controlling the music on that computer you see on the left-hand side. In the background, you can see this rectangular white machine. It's actually the machine we use to record phone interviews and requests from you! |
News & Sports Booth
During the Wake Up Show, 5 o'clock report, or 11 o'clock report, we report on News and Sports. This is the booth that the News and Sports reporters sits in while the DJ can be seen through the window you see on the right-hand side. |
