Chris Grattan was born and came to man’s estate in Rochester, New York.  He grew up listening to AM Top 40 radio there (“WRVM, WBBF and especially WSAY: the ‘electronic tribal drum’ of Western New York adolescents in its day”).  He graduated from Aquinas Institute and later went to school at Fordham University.  He has lived in New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Denver.  In Boston, he appeared as Dr. Arktype on WBUR‘s “Firesign World” show.  This is the first time he’s been involved in radio since. 

His three favorite bands are Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, the Miles Davis Quintet (both versions: w/Coltrane, Paul Chambers, Red Garland and Philly Joe Jones in the 50s and w/Wayne Shorter, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock and Tony Williams in the 60s), and the Berlin Philharmonic. 

Finally, outside of the station when he watches TV, he finds Law & Order to be the most addicting TV show.
